THE 2019 edition of Yarriambiack Has Talent is starting to take shape.
YHT is not only about giving young people a chance to shine, but also for them to just have a go.
For some it’s all about the performance, and the limited opportunities in our shire to be able to entertain people.
For others, it’s about conquering their fears by getting up in front of an audience.
The event is run by young people for young people.
Organisers will get opportunities to manage the day, budget, MC, interview and held with sound and lighting as well as videoing.
“This event is one of the best days of the year,” Yarriambiack Shire Council CEO Jessie Holmes said.
“It is a celebration of what is great about living in the country,” she continued.
“Young people prepared to have a go and showcase their talents in an event organised and run by other young people,” Ms Holmes said.
This year the event will feature Ben Clark, contestant from the popular TV show “The Voice”, and former band member of the “Ten Tenors Fame”.
There are three catergories for competitors; photography, drawings/sketches/paintings, and musical/dance performances.
Entry is free, as is to come along and view the event.
YHT will be held at the Warracknabeal Town Hall on December 1.
Rotaract will hold a BBQ from 12.15pm, with the event set to start at 12.30pm.
Entries close for YHT on Wednesday 27th November.
