WIMMERA Regional Library Corporation is working towards reopening library services next Tuesday after restrictions ease.
From Tuesday, Warracknabeal library will be open from 2.30pm to 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with two openings on Thursday from 11.30am till 12.30pm and 3pm to 5.30pm.
For the first week, only borrowing services will be available and staff operated printing.
Public computers will not be available but the public WiFi will be turned back on for personal devices.
However, restrictions will be in place when they reopen with the four square metre rule in place up to 20 people and patrons will be asked to limit their visit to 15 minutes.
The mobile library service will still be unavailable but the pick-up and drop-off system will remain in place.
Currently, staff are organising cleaning and sanitiser for when it reopens to the public.
Meanwhile, at Yarriambiack Shire’s council meeting, the logo for the council’s new library service has been revealed in preparation for its July 1, 2020 start.
