Pharmacy working to provide essential items

WARRACKNABEAL Pharmacy is operating at full capacity to continue providing a service to the community.

The team of two full time pharmacists and a total of 13 staff are working to ensure the community have what they need to stay well.

Retail Manager Georgina Powell said they collect scripts form the Rural Northwest Health Warracknabeal campus each day and file them until customers require them.

They have also implemented a non-contact delivery service for scripts as well as store items to help those who are self isolating.

Mrs Powell said customers have been supportive of their operational restrictions that have been put in place for the safety of customers and staff.

These implemented strategies include restrictions on movements within the store, implementing hand sanitising stations and new procedures when collecting medications.

Mrs Powell said they are now starting to see more stock available for customers.

“Stock is starting to become more available. We now have toilet paper in full packs of 10 and hand sanitiser,” Mrs Powell said.

“Mother’s Day is also coming up and we are happy to deliver anything, whether its a care pack to brighten someone’s day during the coronavirus lockdown,” she said.

Customers can also keep an eye on the pharmacy’s facebook page to see some of the items available.

“If customers see anything they like or if they would like to see something we have available, shoot us a message on facebook and we can help them out,” Mrs Powell said.

qCustomers can call the pharmacy on 5394 1300 to organise purchase and delivery for scripts or any items available in store.
