Police investigate trespass and tree theft

WARRACKNABEAL Police are investigating the theft of four trees from a GWMWater property recently.

Warracknabeal Sergeant Kylie Newell said the property was at the former water storage facility, Lake Whitton, south of Warracknabeal.

Sgt Newell said trespassers have cut through a fence on the eastern side of the swamp to access the property where they then cut down four living trees and removed them.

“The fence has been cut and then pulled back for a vehicle to drive through,” Sgt Newell said.
