A triumphant return for the Warrack Show
WARRACKNABEAL'S 134th Annual Show is shaping up as a day full of fun thrills for all.

WARRACKNABEAL'S 134th Annual Show is shaping up as a day full of fun thrills for all.
The Show, set to be held on Thursday, October 6 at the Warracknabeal Showgrounds, will be the first Show Warracknabeal has hosted since the beginning of the Covid pandemic.
"The grounds are looking good, entries and sites are coming in, food vans are getting booked," Agricultural and Pastoral president Cameron Drage said.
"It's shaping up to be a good day."
The Warracknbaeal Agricultural and Pastoral Society (A and P Society) has spent a little over 12 months organising the big day, preparing for entries and ensuring the showgrounds are presentable.
"We're all three years older from the last show," Mr Drage said.
"This is my third year on the A and P Society, but my first show, so I am a bit nervous (about it going smoothly)."
The day will begin at 9am with horse and pony events, including a Smartest on Parade, followed by the Victorian Sheaf Tossing Championships and the official opening of the show at 2pm.
"We have a new horse committee and they're doing a great job, entries are coming in for the horse events and we've very proud of them," Mr Drage said.
"We have to praise them because the Horse Committee only formed two to three months ago, and they're keen as mustard."
The horse events will consist of three Hack Rings for ponies, cobs and horses, Showjumping and Topsy events.
At 2:30pm there will be a Show Girl and Show Boy competition, Lady of the Day competition, Junior show Ambassador and the Rural Ambassador Award.
The main event of the day- the Grand Parade- will begin at 3:30pm.
A detailed program of events and site holders will be available upon entry to the show, but people can expect to see an animal nursery, poultry shed, rides supplied by the Showmen's Guild and various competitions including baking, lego and textiles competitions, topped off by a beer booth.
"We've obtained a liquor license for the two beer booths, but we only have the staff to run one at the moment," Mr Drage said.
There will be plenty of fun for children,
