Almost two centuries of service honoured
Warracknabeal Fire Brigade members have given almost two hundred years of combined service to their community, with 185 years of dedication recognised at the brigade’s annual dinner.

The brigade recently held the event at the Warracknabeal Community Centre, where members, families, and supporters gathered to celebrate service milestones and acknowledge the commitment of local CFA volunteers.
The brigade and CFA presented a range of service awards to members who have contributed their time, skills and dedication to protecting the Warracknabeal community.
Award recipients included Cienna Richards for five years of service, Declan Whelan for 10 years, and Nathan Holland, Tennille Jonasson and Sharon Brown for 15 years each.
David Ward received recognition for 20 years of service, while Cameron Whelan and Russell Brown were acknowledged for 30 years each.
Darren Winsall received the highest milestone award of the night, recognising 45 years of service to the brigade and the broader community.
Cienna Richards was absent from the presentation.
The awards highlighted the important role volunteer firefighters continue to play in regional communities, where their service supports emergency response, community safety and local resilience.
