Antwerp hosts council forum
On Sunday, September 14, the Hindmarsh Tourism and Business Forum was held at the Antwerp Hall, bringing together 30 business representatives from across the shire.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Hindmarsh Shire Council and Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism.
Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism chief executive Marc Sleeman and Wimmera Mallee Partnerships manager Ian Gumela provided an update on the organisation's initiatives in marketing and business support over the past 18 months, since the establishment of the Visitor Economy Partnership.They discussed the marketing campaigns that have been undertaken, the benefits of being a member of Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism.
They provided information about how the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse works.
The ‘Visit Wimmera Mallee’ website and social media platforms have shown a significant increase in views and interactions over the last 18 months, reflecting the impact of these marketing campaigns and the efforts of Grampians Wimmera Mallee Tourism in promoting the region.
Council's Manager of Economic Development and Tourism, Mark Fletcher, and Tourism and Economic Development Officer, Jeff Woodward, provided updates on council-led tourism projects, including the upcoming Nhill Holiday Park cabins, the Rainbow Silo Art project, and the Wimmera River Discovery Trail.
Mr Fletcher also spoke about Street Furniture Permits and Business/Fire Recovery support.
