Awesome Adams named HCA's best
Angus Adams’ stellar year with the bat was rewarded with the Horsham Cricket Association’s highest honour, the Cec Hopper Medal.

The Tigers batsman amassed 917 points for the summer, with 659 runs including seven half centuries for an average of 82.38.
With a high score of 76, the steadfast top order batsman also topped the A Grade batting aggregate and average.
With season best figures of 8/34, West Wimmera Warrior’s Nathan Alexander won the A grade bowling average, snagging 34 wickets at a meager average of just 6.62.
The only bowler to take more wickets in the 2024/25 season was Noradjuha Toolondo Bullants’ Matthew Combe, with 36.
Combe was also named the HCA grand final man of the match following his 6/34 against Homers in the first innings.
With his 532 points, Beau Purchase of Colts was named the Allan McRae medalist for 2024/25.
The B Grade champion bowler earned 24 wickets at a miserly 8.29 runs across 12 games, including season best figures of 7/35 against Quantong, which saw him win the bowling average and aggregate awards.
Rupanyup/Minyip Blue Panthers’ hard hitting Brent Hudson won the B Grade batting averages with 84.25 runs; his 337 runs for the season was boosted by a high score of 173 against BKSH in round 10.
The Bullants’ Kent Hair was awarded the batting aggregate with 352 runs.
Warriors' Ashley Dickinson all round performance saw them named the Ivan Morrison Medal recipient for the 2024/25 season.
Dickinson earned 418 runs in the regular season, which saw him named the aggregate winner for the grade, and took 12 wickets across 18 games.
Lubeck’s Drew Gellatly won the grade’s batting average with 327 runs at an average of 109.
Laharum’s Lewis Hofmaier won the C Grade bowling average with 12.05 runs, edging out Darcy Schlutz of Lubeck with 12.86.
The pair shared the bowling aggregate with 22 wickets each.
Horsham Saints' Archie Sostheim was named the under 16s champion player with 413 points.
The young allrounder accumulated 228 runs for an average of 26.11 runs, and earned 11 wickets for 7.55 runs.
Bullants Angus Slatter won the bowling award with 11 wickets at an average of 7.18 runs.
Homers' Luke Miller topped the batting charts with 287 runs at an average of 143.50
Lewis Hofmaier won the under 16s fielding award.
Horsham Tigers' Hugh Miller snagged the under 14s champion player award with 226 runs at an average of 75.33.
Bullants' Judd Oakley won the batting award after only going out once all season, amassing 187 runs for an average of 187.
Blackheath-Dimboola's Lenny Clark's nine wickets for an average of 10 saw him win the bowling award.
The Fielding Award was won by Joel Plazzer of the Horsham Tigers.
