Briggs brings home swim trophy
Swimming sports season is now upon us with Horsham College students taking part in their event last Friday, February 14.

Year 12 students got creative and dressed in their best costume to celebrate their final swimming sports event.
Horsham College sports co-ordinator Jason Revell said students had a great day with many participating and cheering on their peers.
Students competed in the traditional swimming events in the morning where many quick and competitive races were run, before they went hed to head in their house teams in novelty events in the pool in the afternoon.
This included a paddleboard relay, a boogie board relay and an interesting watermelon relay where two students pushed a whole watermelon from one end to the other.
Watermelons were then cut up and eaten.
There was also a hands-free donut-eating competition.
"It's to interact with those students who don't swim and compete in the traditional races," Mr Revell said.
For the first time since 2005, Briggs took home the 2025 swimming trophy, coming out on top with 383 points.
Hall placed second with 348 followed by McLachlan with 336 points and Darlot finished in fourth with 298 points.
Horsham College chaplaincy team provided all fresh fruit for students, with 12kg of apples, 13kg of oranges and 26kg of watermelon being consumed throughout the day.
