BrimKSH, new to the competition this year, joined mainly to play two-ball cricket. On Saturday, they host the Homers in a tough encounter at Brim Recreation Reserve.

BrimKSH president Leigh Dovaston said that the club is buzzing.

"I think everyone is excited and a little bit nervous at the same time," Dovaston said.

"We haven't played two-day cricket in a long time, and playing for 75 overs will be a learning curve, that's for sure.

"It will be a good test to get out in the middle, bat those 75 overs, and value your wicket, and everyone is excited. We have wanted to do this.

"We will have a full-strength side over the two days but probably won't have everyone there for both weeks due to harvest, but hopefully, we will be strong enough."

Sitting fourth on the ladder with three wins, Dovaston couldn't be happier with their start to the competition.

"We just wanted to be competitive, and we have done that so far," Dovaston said.

"It's now about building on that and trying to maintain that and keep it going for the rest of the season."

At Horsham City Oval, the Bullants host the West Wimmera Warriors in another battle of top teams.

Both teams are currently in excellent form, with the Warriors sitting on top of the ladder. Jeremy Weeks, Brad, and Nathan Alexander are in good form with the ball, and the Alexander brothers are in good form with the bat.

For the Bullants, Matthew Combe is still leading the way with bat and ball, and youngster Angus Slatter is coming off his best game of the year with three wickets and an unbeaten 16, so he will be important, too.

At Cameron Oval, the much-improved and surprise packet of the year, Laharum, hosts the Tigers.

Laharum's bowlers are currently in fine form, getting them through games. Joel Pymer, Jim McInness, Max Bunworth, Jackson Hoffmann and Josh Mahoney make a formidable combination.

Their best score of the season was against the Tigers in round one, when they made 4/170.

The Tigers have been heavily reliant on Angus Adams with the bat, and they still haven't had anyone who can stick around with him at the crease and form a partnership. If they rectify that, they have an excellent chance to walk away with the win.

The final match sees the Colts and Horsham Saints face off at Coughlin Park.

The Saints haven't scored over 100 runs this season, and the Colts have only won two games in their return to A-grade competition.

The Colts' bowling attack is being led well by Joey Nagorcka, Josh Colbert, and Jake McLean, but their batting has struggled, with the top order unable to put together partnerships.

In the B-grade competition, teams also play a two-day match. The Tigers play the Saints at Dimboola Road Oval, Quantong hosts BrimKSH at Quantong Recreation Reserve, and the Bullants host the Panthers at the Noradjuha Recreation Reserve.

In the C-grade competition, teams play a one-day match, with the Homers hosting Laharum at Sunnyside Recreation Reserve, West Wimmera hosting Natimuk at Davis Park and Lubeck Murtoa hosting the Tigers at the Murtoa Recreation Reserve.
