Bunworth leads Demons to third straight win

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Colts struck early through Josh Colbert, who dismissed the Demons openers, Sean Wouters and Dayan Wilfred to have Laharum 2/17.

Max Bunworth came to the crease, steadied the ship with a solid innings, and stood tall while wickets fell around him. With help from Josh Mahoney, with an unbeaten 35, and Bunworth scoring 50 off 101 balls, Laharum made 9/124 off their 45 overs.

Josh Colbert, 2/20, was the Colts' pick of the bowlers, with Logan Miller, 2/21, and Jake McLean, 2/23, also playing a steady role.

In defence of the total, Joel Pymer continued his terrific form, jagging the opening three batsmen to have the Colts at 3/22.

Colts' captain Logan Millar steadied the ship and, with help from Dylan Arnott and Joey Nagorcka, raised the total.

Bunworth then came into the attack, conceding one run off his first over, and then, in his second, got the wicket of Nagorcka for 18.

Bunworth dismissed the dangerous Logan Millar for 41 in his fourth over and then had James McNeil for a golden duck to be on a hat-trick. Chris Potter survived the hat-trick ball, but in his next over, the 36th of the match, Bunworth dismissed Potter for one, and the Colts were all out for 105.

Bunworth finished with figures of 4/7 (4.1) with two maidens, and Pymer finished with 3/9 (9) with four maidens.

Laharum remains unbeaten.
