Minyip Murtoa coach Kirby Knight knows Ararat will come out hard on their home court, even though they haven't won a match yet.

"Anyone can have a stronger day and it's about who settles in first and who capitalises and converts their chances," Knight said.

"They are a young, hungry team and will come out hard. They are like us, trying to find their rhythm and combinations.

"They are a young new team trying to find out what works and there's every chance it clicks for them this week. We need to come out hard and firing and be prepared for that."

The Warrack Eagles will be confident of defeating Nhill when they play at Anzac Park. Nhill has won two games, whilst the Eagles are one step below them on the ladder with one win.

Eagles coach Leiah McKenzie said they need to start strong.

"We view this as a highly winnable game and we have to start the game out strong and stay composed through that first quarter and keep that intensity going for four quarters and hopefully we can come away with the win," McKenzie said.

Horsham host Stawell and in the form they are in currently, it will take a huge game from Stawell to upset them.

Georgia Batson is in terrific form for the Demons alongside Imogen Worthy, so stopping them is going to be the key.

In the other match, the Southern Mallee Thunder eye their test against a Dimboola team that is one of the contenders this season.

They have won three matches and the Thunder are sitting one win behind them on the ladder, so the home team will fancy their chances.

Nicole Polycarpou is fresh off a 52-goal game last week and is in terrific form for the Roos so Abby White or Caitlin Douglass has a tough job ahead of them.
