Bushwalk to celebrate a 90-year trek

Wimmera Bushwalking Club is urging people to leave the dog at home, put on the walking attire and take the scenic route via creeks, waterfalls, lush gullies and towering Grampians spires to celebrate November being Bushwalking Month.

The Wimmera group, formed in 1972, will be leaving the Wimmera Libraries carpark in Horsham at 8.45am on Sunday November 3 for a Loop Walk in the Grampians which will take about 2.5 hours. The walk will also celebrate 90 years since Bushwalking Victoria was formed.

Organisers have promised a "slow and steady" pace, beginning at Borough Huts campground and heading along the creek before winding through bushland to Barri Yulug campground, then on to Redmans Road Trail and continuing to Peaks Trail.

If you'd like to join them, check out the group's website or contact Warren Ross on 0419 571 506, Mandy Bellinger on 0447 312 151 or Kylie Speirs 0403 716 120.
