Students ventured down to their accommodation at Cottage by the Sea, Queenscliff, on Tuesday, July 29, and jumped straight into activities once they arrived.

One student, Claire, recounted her day one experience.

"First, we went to the lighthouse and we had to run around it three times and then find a brick calling your name and whisper your wish in there," she said.

"When we went for tea, it was delicious. We had spaghetti bolognese and for dessert we had hot jam doughnuts (yummy)."

After a good night's sleep, the campers were ready for a fun-filled day, taking in the sights the town has to offer.

They climbed the 360Q Tower, saw stingrays, crabs, a starfish, pufferfish and a shark at the wharf, walked across the jetty and tried out the many local playgrounds.

Maddix said the 360Q Tower was "humongous" and his legs were "so tired" at the end of the day.

"We went to the Queenscliff Marina. It was amazing. I found a window frame in the water," he said.

In the afternoon, students participated in water activities in the ocean, which included dye dodgeball and boogie boarding.

Day three saw the group venture to Barwon Heads Bluff, where they went rock pooling before having lunch and heading towards their next stop, the Marine Discovery Centre.

The next day was a travel day with the group having a quick pack up before breakfast.

Two buses escorted the campers and their luggage to the train station, where they caught the Overland.

Making a stop in Horsham and then Dimboola, students arrived home safely after three days of constant activity.
