For the first time, Counterpart has partnered with Grampians Health to bring together cancer survivors and their support teams in Horsham.

Counterpart is a service of Women's Health Victoria that for more than 20 years has supported and informed women with cancer to live well, providing quality peer support and information.

The organisation has been running the event across Victoria since 2023, partnering with local services with support from the Victorian Government.

"We're so pleased to partner with Grampians Health to connect women living in the Horsham area with the support they need," Counterpart manager Cindy Van Rooy said.

"People often tell us that living in regional areas makes it harder to find support."

From 10am to 2.45pm, the free event will include a gentle yoga session, a creative watercolour activity, and an exercise and nutrition information session.

A wide range of information from cancer support organisations and services will be available.

Morning tea and lunch will also be provided.

Although it wil be free to attend, registration is essential and should be completed by noon on Monday March 31 by visiting https://counterpart.org.au/events/horsham-wbd/ or calling 1300 781 500.

Coughlin Park Bowls Club is at 14 Hamilton Street, Horsham.
