Clarkson celebrates at premiership reunion

Coach of North Melbourne, Alastair Clarkson, returned to his hometown of Kaniva at the weekend to celebrate the club's 1985 football premiership.

The four-time AFL premiership coach joined former players from the 1985 grand final as well as the 1965 grand final side.

From all reports, Clarkson was extremely accommodating for a chat and a photo.

Clarkson also addressed the crowd, giving an insight into his childhood in the community of Kaniva, along with his story as an AFL player and coach.

Wimmera Mail Times published a comprehensive interview with the coach, where he spoke of how country roots were entrenched in his soul, last Friday.
