Clubs tribute to former players
It was an emotional day to kick off round one of the Horsham and District Football Netball League with Pimpinio and Taylors Lake Football Netball Clubs hosting tributes to two people that brought life to their respective clubs.

At Pimpinio Sporting Complex, Pimpinio and Laharum held a minute silence before their match for Trent DeZoete and Pimpinio president Jock Baker presented his playing guernsey to his parents, Josh and Nicole and his younger brother Jamie.
After the game, the DeZoete family awarded a medal to the most determined player in the seniors game to Dylan Thomas.
Pimpinio club president Jock Baker said there were 400-500 people on the oval.
"The netballers came off the court and came onto the oval and it was very emotional. Trent was definitely looking over us and pushed us through to win the match," Baker said.
At Dock Lake Recreation Reserve, Taylors Lake held a tribute to club stalwart John 'JK' Kelly. JK was an integral part of their club on many levels including senior coach, league best and fairest winner, mentor and volunteer.
John's son Jack led the senior team out onto the field and then John's daughter Charlotte tossed the coin with Jack and John's wife Kristy present.
