"This is a great opportunity to get to know the local officers, ask questions and discuss topics that matter to you in a relaxed atmosphere," Senior Constable Marc Davey.

The Horsham officers will be joined by their counterparts from Crimestoppers in Melbourne to answer questions and advise the community in crime prevention and how to protect themselves and their possessions.

Coffee with a Cop will be held at Café 22 at the Plaza, between 9am-12pm.

Following the morning session between 12pm-4pm the Community Engagement Officers from Crime Stoppers will have a stall at the Plaza to deliver expert advice on property crime prevention, for example burglary, theft of motor vehicle and theft from motor vehicles, to the wider Horsham community.

"We welcome members of the community to come and chat with our officers and share any issues they may have.

"People often feel more relaxed to chat over a cup of coffee and we have the opportunity to assist, give advise or just provide some information that can help with an issue," Sen Con Davey said.

"It is also an opportunity for us to get to know our community."

The Crimestoppers Community Engagement Officers are looking forward to providing some everyday action that can protect members of the community and their property.
