Community rallies behind Easter raffle
After three weeks of warm community support and strong ticket sales, the Lions will draw its Easter raffle today at 12pm at the western end of Horsham Plaza.

Locals have rallied behind the cause, and all funds raised will go back into the Horsham community to support vital services and organisations.
Club member Philip Sheriff, speaking from the pop-up raffle desk, shared how the community has supported the initiative.
"We've been selling a raffle for three weeks, and generally the money we raise is to be distributed around Horsham's various organisations, such as Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), Emergency SES, and various groups like that," he said.
"Hopefully, it's helped someone achieve good health and well-being."
He explained that the Easter raffle is part of the club's fundraising efforts.
"This is our Easter raffle, but as Lions, we go all year round," he said.
"We do have the Father's Day raffle in the second half [of the year], but we're fundraising all the time with barbecues at Haven and Jung.
"So all money is mostly distributed around the Horsham area."
Mr Sheriff praised the response from the Horsham community, noting the strong engagement and support.
"They've been very good.
"It's been very positive, and we've had excellent sales.
"I think that all of Horsham takes on what we're on about and to help out."
Horsham Plaza centre manager Allison Roberts will draw the winning tickets.
Mr Sheriff confirmed that the raffle prizes include a fuel voucher, a food voucher, and a hamper.
When Mail-Times asked if he had a message for the community this Easter, Mr Sheriff said,
"We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable Easter. Drive carefully."
