Country duo set to return to Warracknabeal
COUNTRY music enthusiasts are in for a night of classic hits and modern favourites when husband-and-wife duo The Austins return to Warracknabeal next month. The couple is set to perform at Taylors Palace Hotel on Saturday, August 29, with the show starting at 7 pm.
Meals will be available before the performance at patrons’ own expense, with bookings essential, while the hotel will also offer a full food and beverage menu.
Rohan Austin said the duo was thrilled to return to the venue after performing earlier this year.
“We’ve played at the venue before, most recently opening for Amber Lawrence and for Felicity Urguhart and Josh Cunningham when they brought their shows through the area earlier this year, so it’s always a pleasure to return,” he said.
Audiences can expect an evening celebrating country music from across different generations, with songs ranging from legendary performers to today’s biggest stars.
“This show covers country music from timeless classics of artists like Patty Loveless and Johnny Cash through to today’s stars including Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson, with plenty of favourites from decades in between,” Mr Austin said.
“Whether people want to sit back and listen or get up for a dance, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
The Austins, made up of Rohan and his wife Candice, have spent years touring across regional Australia, delighting local audiences with a blend of contemporary and classic country music.
In addition to touring, the pair has released two original singles, Backroad Bus Stop and Home, both produced by Golden Guitar Award-winning producer Matt Fell.
“Our aim has always been simple - to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where people can sing along, have a dance and enjoy a great night of live music,” Mr Austin said.
Mr Austin said regional communities had always been prominent supporters of live music and deserved more opportunities to experience touring acts so close to home.
“Regional communities have always been incredibly supportive of live music, but they often miss out when artists tour through Australia,” he said.
“As regional people ourselves, it’s important to us to bring quality live music to country communities and give people the chance to gather, relax and enjoy a great night out close to home.”
The event is open to all music lovers, whether they’re dedicated country fans or simply looking for a relaxing evening out with family and friends.
Tickets are $25 and available for purchase through Taylors Palace Hotel or Horsham Country Music Inc.
Patrons wishing to dine in before the performance are encouraged to book early.
