Crime divide widens across the Wimmera

New data show significant differences across the Wimmera, with Horsham and Northern Grampians municipalities recording higher offence rates than neighbouring shires.

Victorian crime statistics for the 12 months to June 2026 were released last week and reveal crime and law enforcement differences between not just rural and metro areas, but between shires containing no regional centres with populations exceeding 10,000 people or tourism hubs, and those that do.
