WWHS purchased a Blaze Pods and a hydrotherapy plinth; both are already making a positive impact for clients.

“We are incredibly grateful to the CWA Nhill Branch for their generosity and commitment to the community,” Allied Health Team Lead Emma Beer said.

“This donation will directly benefit our clients and allow our rehabilitation team to offer even better care to people of all ages across our communities.”

Blaze Pods are interactive and versatile rehabilitation tools suitable for all ages.

As each pod lights up, users tap or step on it and move to the next as it changes.

This activity builds lower-body strength, stability, and quick decision-making, which are essential for daily movements such as walking, turning, and preventing falls.

The exercise can be tailored to different abilities, making it valuable for falls prevention, post-surgery or injury rehabilitation, return to sport or work, and neurological rehabilitation.

The new hydrotherapy plinth expands treatment options in the WWHS hydrotherapy pool.

It enables therapists to offer a broader range of exercises and positions, providing more personalised sessions and supporting clients’ strength and confidence during recovery.

WWHS physiotherapists and exercise physiologists report that the new equipment significantly expanded their services, allowing for more flexible, engaging, and targeted treatments.
