Debs dress to impress
Dimboola's Debutantes were presented at an evening event at the Dimboola Memorial Secondary College (DMSC) Assembly Hall.

Thirteen couples - a mix of Years 10 and 11 - dressed in their best suits, provided by Brian Cook from Earles Clothing in Horsham, and their white ballgowns to show off their skills on the dance floor, taught to them by instructor Linley Arnold-Wardle.
DMSC staff supported the event, with Naomi Kuhnell playing host as MC for the night, and Nic Mattschoss ensuring the lighting and music was perfect.
“The evening was very successful with the Assembly Hall and adjoining area packed,” principal Sally Klinge said.
The pairs performed five dances - Pride of Erin, Cha Cha, Evening Three Step, Palmer Waltz, and Heel Toe Poker.
Year 10 Debutante Lyla Barry said she would like to pursue a career in the healthcare sector.
She was paired with Josh Schultz, who is in Year 11 and studying VCE, VM, and VET-AG at Longrenong College, as well as doing work placement at Wimmera GPS in Horsham.
Lucy Baker is in Year 10 and studying VET Agriculture. She was partnered by Jordan Mibus who is also in Year 10 and studying VET Automotive.
Evie Everett is in Year 10 and would like to work in radiology one day. She was paired with Year 11’s Marcel Badua, who is doing a school-based apprenticeship with O’Connors.
Tori Menzel is currently studying Year 11 VCE and is enrolled in Health Support Services VET, and was paired with Brody Thomson.
Brody is also in Year 11 and is enrolled in a Sports and Recreation VET course at Horsham College.
Hailey Bentley would like to pursue a career in nursing or early childhood education, and is currently in Year 10.
Her partner for the evening, Ethan Angel-Hands, is studying Year 12 VCE, and aspires to be an electrical engineer submariner in the Royal Australian Navy.
Zatika McDonald is in Year 11 and is enrolled in VET Automotives, and was paired with Year 11’s Nathan Rayes, who enjoys cooking and working in construction.
Rian Pyers is studying Year 11 VCE as well as two Year 12 Maths subjects, and was partnered with Liam Campbell, who is working on completing a Year 11 VCE/VET Certificate II in Building and Construction.
Sally Sellens is in Year 11 and is interested in studying law and criminology when she leaves school.
Her partner for the evening, Archer Laverty, is studying Year 11 VCE and would like to pursue a career in sports physiotherapy or sport science.
Charlotte Paech and Baily Commane are both in Year 10.
Charlotte aspires to be a veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse, and Baily is completing the VET Automotive program.
Maya Schorback and her partner Declan Paech are both in Year 10.
Maya would like to one day become a baker.
Lillyana Ylstra is doing Year 11 VM, and a VET course in Building and Construction, while her partner for the evening, Lachlan Dixon, is studying VPC, and aspires to secure an apprenticeship.
Emily Taylor is in Year 10, and is interested in a career in physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
She was partnered with Cody Polack, who is studying Year 11 VCE and would like to pursue a career in paramedicine.
Stella Williams, from Year 10, aspires to become a beautician or florist, and was partnered with Jandamurra Lauricella for the evening, who is also in Year 10 and is studying VCE Food and Physical Education.
