Dimboola, Horsham groups to benefit from funding

Community groups in Dimboola will benefit from funding announced by Nutrien Ag Solutions and FRRR (Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal).

By Zoey Andrews

More than $1 million has been invested in regional, remote or rural communities across Australia through the program over the past four years and 59 recipients in Victoria will benefit from funding this round.

They include Dimboola Art Inc and Dimboola Sporting Club.

The not-for-profit recipients will each receive up to $5000 for projects that will contribute to the success, vibrancy and wellbeing of their communities.

Mandy Muirhead, Corporate Affairs Advisor at Nutrien Ag Solutions, said it was wonderful to be able to support so many places where the Nutrien staff lived and worked.

“The nature of our business means that most of our staff live and work in small communities across remote, rural and regional Australia," she said.

"By supporting the grassroots organisations that are the heartbeat of these communities, we know that we are contributing to the success, wellbeing and vibrancy of these places that our people call home."
