Download digital licence now
Digital driver's licences are now available for the majority of Victoria road users

Victorian motorists are being encouraged to take advantage of the state's new digital driver's licence.
VicRoads has begun emailing licence-holders to advise that the digital version is now available.
"Digital driver licences are now available for all Victorian full licence holders," the message reads.
"It's fast and easy to get access.
"Simply download the myVicRoads app and follow the instructions."
The digital licence ic currently available to those who hold a full licence and will be extended to learner drivers and P-platers in 2025.
"The rollout follows a successful pilot of the Victorian digital licence in Ballarat involving more than 15,000 full licence holders, checkers and enforcement agencies," VicRoads said.
"The use of a digital driver licence is optional.
"Physical licences will continue to be issued for all Victorian drivers and can continue to be used for identification purposes."
By law, some drivers must carry their physical licence with them at all times and be able to produce it if requested to do so by police.
These include:
learner permit holders
probationary licence (P1 or P2) holders
driver licence holders under the age of 26
driver licence holders whose licence is subject to an ‘E’, ‘I’ or ‘Z’ condition (includes interstate licence/permit holders who are subject to an ‘I’ condition)
driver licence holders when driving a bus, heavy vehicle or light vehicle towing a heavy trailer beyond an 80km radius of the vehicle's normal place of business.
VicRoads said the digital version was "an additional way to access licensing information direct from a trusted source".
The myVicRoads app is available for both Android and Apple mobile phones.
Once the app is installed and the licence-holder logs in to their account with two-step verification enabled, the digital driver licence will appear automatically.
The app is also a quick gateway to a myVicRoads account for a range of registration and licensing services online.
