The home side, Warrack, held the lead after both the first quarter (7-4) and at half-time (19-16), but it was Dimboola that led heading into the last quarter (24-25) before getting the win by a goal (32-33).

The Eagles played catch-up for the entire last quarter and got incredibly close to claiming the lead numerous times as the game went goal for goal.

A shooting spree from Dimboola's Nicole Polycarpou gave them some breathing space late in the quarter, putting them up by four goals, but the Eagles answered through both Grace Humphries and Nicola Clyne to bring the deficit back to one.

With just under a minute remaining, neither side was able to score, giving Dimboola the victory.

Scoring for the home side was even, with Briodi McKenzie in shooting 12 and both Clyne and Humphries 10.

Emma Koschitzke (wing attack) and Maddie Okely (centre) were the better players for Warrack.

Dimboola also used the services of different shooters, with Polycarpou the highest scorer with 14, followed by Olivia Beugelaar (12) and Gieselle Clugston (seven).

Best on court for the Roos were Rianna Kuhne (centre) and Stephanie Glover (goal defence).
