Easter joy
With many enjoying the benefits of our community and the good weather, Easter was celebrated in different ways by locals and tourists alike.
People from near and far with their Easter reminders of God’s love and sacrifice for the world: (back) Rebecca Lamont, John Ampt, Daryn Clugston, Andy Clugston, Roschelle Clugston (obscured), Wayne Nitschke, (middle) Adalyn Clugston, Floss Ampt, Pam Clugston with Lucas Clugston, Elaine Nitschke, (seated) Jane Lamont, Lorraine Pearse, Hayden Clugston and Joy McLean.
A number of people celebrated Easter by worshipping at one of the local churches.
The Southern Mallee Co-Operative Parish at Rainbow welcomed Ex-Captain, Adrian, from the Rainbow Fire Brigade, who came to collect donations for the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.
This went well with the theme of Good Friday’s Service of “Jesus – our Life Saver,” and donations contributed to the over $5,000 raised by the Brigade.
Sunday saw family and friends join the worship celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and lunch and activities followed.
