Expanding horizons
Growing community connections for the church is an invitation for us all as we seek to reach out with the good news of the gospel and live out God’s love in the world.

To help to do this and share together, the Rainbow Fellowship of the Southern Mallee Co-Operative Parish has been active recently, reaching out to others beyond the group.
The fellowship invited one of the newer residents of Rainbow and co-owner of the local IGA, Miraben (Mira) Sanjay Bharania, to speak, with others from the wider community also attending.
Mira shared some experiences and observations of life through the theme "The Colours of Life".
Having grown up in India, moved to Africa with her new husband, then came to Australia more recently, she has seen many changes and challenges.
She enthralled her listeners as she also shared her observations on the changing role of women in society and the important contribution of women to the world.
A colourful traditional outfit complemented her talk of many colours and enlightened her listeners from the Rainbow district, as well as fellowship members.
We are enjoying reaching out to others and building community connections.
Mira is enjoying learning about Australian culture and connecting with another faith, knowing little of the Christian faith, as we learn from her.
On a subsequent outing to an iris farm with the fellowship group, Mira once again delighted in a new experience and conversation about life and faith.
