Extension gives cemetery new lease of life
The Warracknabeal Cemetery Trust has been hard at work continuing their latest program, which began in mid 2025.

The project, which focuses on an extension to the western section, is almost completed.
With the project being first noted back in 2017, the cemetery trust recognises it has been a long road.
The task of creating a new section became increasingly important as the current lawn cemetery had fewer plots available, averaging 40 to 50 burials a year.
With the landscaping foundation laid, grass has been planted, and the final step in the project's development is the road, which is also close to completion.
The project, when finished, will cost $250,000, but will set the cemetery up for another 10 years.
Financial support is always appreciated to keep the high standard of the community cemetery.
