Fatal collision in Ledcourt, Western Highway closed
Two people have died and another is in critical condition following an incident on the Western Highway.
A Victoria Police spokesperson reported that emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision in Ledcourt, about 18.5km northwest of Stawell, on Sunday, September 27.
“It’s believed the vehicles were travelling along Western Highway near Mount Drummond Road when two cars collided around 6.45pm,” the spokesperson said.
“The two occupants in one of the vehicles, who are yet to be formally identified, have died at the scene.”
The spokesperson stated that of the four occupants in the other car, one is in critical condition and three are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
As of 9pm, the Western Highway remained closed while Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives investigated the cause of the collision.
