A record number of shooters took part in the Country Fire Authority’s annual Natimuk and District Field and Game Club Shoot on Sunday, August 7, 2016.
District 17 Country Fire Authority operations manager Dale Russell said it was a successful day.
“It’s been a good standard of shooting with a number of good shooters taking part,” he said.
A total of 207 shooters came from all over the Wimmera, as far as Snake Valley.

The shoot started in 2001, with 98 shooters and grew to 147 by 2015.
Green Taylor Partners were the major sponsor for another year, and goods were donated for a raffle, with all proceeds to go to the Alfred Hospital burns unit.
The shoot has raised $12,000 for the burns unit since its start in 2001 to 2016.
