Keith Vanstan and his miniature train farewelled Wimmera children at the Goroke Show.

Vanstan brought the train from Port Fairy in 1968, and has thrilled thousands of children since.

He has moved to Ballarat and will take the train with him, as he is unable to find a buyer.

He says the train is worth $1000, runs on a 15-inch gauge, has a 67-metre track and is drawn by a Ronaldson-Tippett air-cooled engine.
