Flight around the world for WSDS students
Warracknabeal Special Developmental School students were taken on a trip of a lifetime to commemorate Education Week's theme of 'celebration of cultures'.

After going through security and braving the sniffer dog, students checked in using their passports and boarding passes before making their way onto the plane of G'day Airlines.
Once all students found their seats the pilot, aka Andy, welcomed everyone to the airline, giving a rundown of what sort of ride they can expect.
A short safety video from Air New Zealand was played before takeoff.
After a short and slightly bumpy ride, the plane landed taking students on a round trip to America, New Zealand, Australia and Egypt.
Students deplaned and quickly split off into groups to explore the different cultures on offer.
In America, students visited Hollywood where they walked across the Walk of Fame before strutting their stuff down the red carpet.
Moving to New Zealand, students learnt about the culture and took part in learning how to use poi, a traditional Māori dance tool.
They soon explored the "glow worm cave" created by staff member River and coloured in a rugby ball to take home.
In Australia, students participated in a competitive thong toss while learning about the country.
The last stop was at Eygpt where students helped to construct the Pyramids.
A shared lunch was provided where students had the opportunity to taste foods from the different cultures.
Acting principal Lynne Scott-Brown said the day could possibly be the highlight of the term.
"Flying G'day Airlines with Captain Andy was certainly an experience not to be missed," she said.
