Foster carer shortage prompts local appeal

Horsham is facing an urgent need for more foster carers, with locals being encouraged to consider opening their homes to children who need care and stability. This year, Fostering Connections, the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare and Victoria’s foster carer recruitment service, is running its “Open Doors. Open Hearts. Open Opportunities” campaign to encourage more residents to learn what becoming a carer involves.
