Fundraising focus on youth homelessness
Horsham Uniting Church welcomed over 100 people into the church for their Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concert where they raised money for Uniting Wimmera's homelessness outreach program, Street 2 Home.

With a focus on youth homelessness, Uniting Wimmera's homelessness outreach worker Glenn Kimberley alongside a co-worker spoke to the audience about their work and experiences they have had when dealing with youth homelessness.
Uniting Church's Mission Action Group committee member Dianne Walter said Mr Kimberley kicked off the event with their short presentation.
"Glenn spoke with so much emotion and it was great to see that attendees could hear it," she said.
The statistics on youth homelessness keep increasing.
Ms Walter said they had more people attend this year's event than last.
"We're very pleased with how it went," she said.
There was a wide range of performers including calisthenics soloists, pianists and bands.
"There were also two items that used the pipe organ which was great to see it get used," Ms Walter said.
Horsham Rural City Band and their Development Band played as well as Horsham Uniting Church Band.
A total of $2,300 was raised for the Street 2 Home program.
"It's a small contribution but it's a start," Ms Walter said.
Afternoon tea was also on offer after the concert with many staying to mingle.
