Grade 5-6 students enjoy exciting Melbourne Camp adventure

St Joseph’s School’s Grade 5/6 students recently returned from an action-packed cluster camp to Melbourne, where they enjoyed four days of exploration, learning, and fun with students from other local schools.

The camp gave everyone a taste of city life and plenty of memorable experiences.

Highlights included a guided MCG tour and visit to the Australian Sports Museum, where students learned about Australia’s sporting history and even tested their own skills in interactive exhibits.

At Scienceworks, they discovered the wonders of science through hands-on experiments and fascinating displays.

A day at the Melbourne Zoo allowed students to get up close to amazing animals from around the world, while a visit to the Queen Victoria Market offered a chance to sample the sights, sounds, and tastes of Melbourne’s vibrant culture.

The adventure included a visit to the Eureka Tower, where students took in breathtaking views of the city skyline, and some even faced their fears on The Edge experience.

Much fun was had at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, where students enjoyed some entertainment and fitness time together.

It was a fantastic camp filled with new friendships, great teamwork, and plenty of learning beyond the classroom, an experience the students will remember for many years.
