Dimboola Memorial Secondary College (DMSC) will celebrate its centenary on Saturday, May 25, and have provided secondary school education to many individuals who have gone on to make great achievements over the years.

"Many staff and students have passed through the gates, with some going on to become members of our DMSC Hall of Fame," DMSC principal Sally Klinge said.

"These students have included people who have held positions of responsibility in a variety of fields including health, education, law, science, entertainment and sport.

"Some names that people will identify with include Doug Wade and Tim Watson of AFL fame, Pam Westendorf and Leanne Whitehouse who represented Australia in rowing, and Tracey Rigney for her work with indigenous film.

"The most recent inductee is Ross Prior, who is a world-renown Emeritus Professor of Education in England."

Mrs Klinge said life at DMSC has been the foundation of a highly successful career for many staff and students.

"The school continues to offer viable and positive pathways for all students, even though it is now smaller than at its peak," she said.

"During the 1960s, more than 300 students were enrolled in the school."
