HORSHAM Arts Council has taken the town by storm in the 2022 production of Legally Blonde, having hit the stage running in fabulous shades of pink.
Premiering to audiences last Thursday and closing tonight at the Horsham Town Hall, the musical has received praise for its high-energy dance performances and stage production.
The cast has wowed audiences with top-quality acting and singing while the hard-working crew continues to ensure each performance runs smoothly.
“Legally Blonde was chosen by the committee to be the first post-Covid show due to its popularity and the show’s bright, uplifting nature,” director Erin Boutcher said.
“There is a cast of 33 and then another 25 people behind the scenes that have helped bring this show together.”
While some cast and crew are seasoned veterans, appearing in previous musicals such as Mama Mia and Rock of Ages, this is actor Ian Bennett’s first time on stage.
He said he was “a little bit nervous, but mainly excited” to make his musical debut.
“I really wanted to get involved with acting again, and the Horsham Arts Council puts on such amazing shows, so I started taking singing lessons this year and auditioned for Legally Blonde."
“I was really excited to see Legally Blonde hit the stage,” Ms Boutcher said.
“Everyone involved has worked extremely hard for the last three and a half months and deserve to have as many people see the show as possible.
"It’s a wonderful production full of catchy songs, humour, great dance numbers and bright sets and costumes."
