Hopetoun Landcare wins $20k grant
Combatting pest animals has earned volunteers at Hopetoun a $20,000 helping hand in the latest round of Landcare Australia grants.

The allocation was one of seven awarded to Landcare groups in Victoria and 26 nationally.
Known as 'Hopetoun Hopefully Hits Hoppers’, the Hopetoun project is designed to reduce the impact of pest species on vegetation on both public and private land.
Across Australia, $300,000 was distributed to groups working in landscape management and rehabilitation.
It was the second major grant secured by Hopetoun Landcare Group in 2024.
In August it was announced that 'Hopetoun Is Winning The War On Rabbits And Weeds' would receive $13,752 from the state government under its program of Victorian Landcare Grants for the Mallee Catchment Management Authority.
