Hopetoun P-12 College wrap-up weeks 3 & 4
On Wednesday, October 21, Harvey represented Hopetoun P-12 College, alongside other students from St Joe’s, Beulah, and Rainbow, participating in Cricket Blast in Horsham.

The day started well for the Southern Mallee Lakes team, with two convincing wins against Horsham Primary School 2 and Balmoral Primary School.
The score in the first game was 168 - 85, and the score in the second game was 135 - 88.
It was a great way to start the day undefeated; however, that didn’t last too long with a close loss in the semi-final against Horsham Primary School.
The score was 168 - 133, meaning our Southern Mallee Lakes tied for third place in the tournament.
The team then played a friendly game against WLC Horsham to finish off the day.
They put forward another strong outing, winning the game by 40 runs, with the final score being 139 - 99.
Ultimately, they finished the day with three wins and one loss.
Overall, it was a great experience, and they can’t wait for next year.
On Tuesday, October 20, the Year 12 students had their last day of formal classes, marking an important moment in their school journey.
On Thursday, October 22, they celebrated their final days of school with their Celebration Day, where they looked back on the memories they had made over the years.
Hopetoun P-12 College congratulated the Year 12 students on their achievements and wished them all the best for the future.
They also held the Year 12 final assembly, where 2026 Captains Jakob and Esther handed over their leadership role to 2027 Captain Spencer and Vice Captain Ben.
On October 23, the primary students held a Grandparents and Special Guests afternoon from 1.30-2.30pm, where they participated in Art and Science activities.
Once finished, they went down to the Power House for the opening of the second Hopetoun P-12 Art Exhibition, where the public and school community got to admire some of the Prep to VCE artwork.
Throughout the week, they were fortunate enough to welcome professionals from Royal Far West to our school.
Royal Far West is a program that supports students living in rural and remote areas by providing extra learning opportunities and helping them with their education.
Hopetoun P-12 College is very grateful for the time and support they provided to the students.
