Primary students welcomed their grandparents to school on October 24.

To many, thirteen years ago would have felt like an eternity, however, for our Year 12’s, it would’ve felt like two seconds ago that they were nervously starting their very first day of school in Prep.

But after many Math problems solved, English essays written, and Science experiments conducted, Thursday the 23rd of October was their final day of schooling.

It was finally time for their Year 12 Celebration Day, or more famously known as, ‘Muck Up Day’.

Students were greeted by their graduating peers throwing water balloons, releasing silly strings and showcasing all types of shenanigans.

The staff found their staffroom out on the back court of the school, where they had a very refreshing morning briefing with no heater.

Later an intense match of Staff vs Year 12’s dodgeball was being watched by all students.

Impeccable skills and sporting abilities were revealed by both sides however, the Year 12’s proved why it was their day and reigned superior over the Staff.

Following on, a final school assembly was conducted which included heart warming speeches by teachers and an iconic video showcasing the journey the students have travelled through, from Prep to Year 12.

The Celebration Day was conducted with final goodbyes to all and a victory lap around the bus loop to top it all off.

We would like to thank the Year 12 students for the dedication, heart and leadership they have all put towards this school and we wish the VCE students’ good luck for their end of year exams coming up and wish all the graduates the best for their bright futures.

Grandparents’ Day

On October 24, during periods five and six, the primary students welcomed their grandparents and special guests to join them in a range of activities.

Such as creating balloon paintings with their fingerprints, making chatter boxes and decorating biscuits with icing and a wide variety of lollies.

Around 2.30pm, both the students and guests made their way down to the art exhibition at the Power House, where they examined all the beautiful artworks that had been created. Overall, everyone enjoyed participating in the activities and seeing everyone's artworks.

Art Exhibition

On the final weekend of October (including Friday), Art pieces that have been delicately and precisely formed, painted and crafted together by our talented Prep to Year 12 students were on display at the Art Exhibition at the Hopetoun Power House Arts Studio.

This was a great chance for the local community to see what artworks students have been creating in Art this year!
