Newly appointed school captains, Esther (left) and Jakob (right), and junior school captain Mia laid a wreath at the Hopetoun RSL Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11.

The 11th of November 1918 was the day which World War I ended and, 107 years on, we remember all who served in the war.

The school held a beautiful ceremony, involving readings and poems from the Year 9 students, which was followed by the Last Post and a one-minute silence.

Meanwhile, our newly appointed school captains, Jakob and Esther, alongside junior school captain, Mia, laid a wreath at the local ceremony at the Hopetoun RSL.

Man Cave

On Thursday the 6th of November, the Year 9 and 10 boys took part in a workshop called Man Cave.

We indulged in many activities both fun and serious.

We talked about things that could help us make better decisions in life and how to help others when they are in bad situations themself.

Basically, everyone that took part in the workshop was able to take something away that could help them if they ever needed to use it in the future.

There were many people that also got out of their comfort zone and shared personal things in their life which made everyone feel as if they were able to trust each other more and won't be judged for who they are.

The workshop was very helpful to all of us, and it was quite a good day so thank you to Jehan and Lees for taking us through this workshop and helping us understand each other and life a little better.

The Posie Project

Thursday the 6th of November was Posie Day once again for the Year 9-10 girls!

This time around, the girls had the opportunity to learn about women's body health and its cycles, as that was something they were all interested in.

Bracelets were made to help them track their body's natural cycle in a fun and different way.

They talked about the people who they could contact and or seek help from online websites that they'd be comfortable with.

At the end of the day, the girls were able to finish with a paint by numbers and chocolates to share.
