Hopetoun and Beulah reunion committee member Steve Haynes, Cath Taylor, Lynne De Giovanni, Joy Weightman and Phonse Liddle enjoy another get-together with old friends at last year's reunion event.

This weekend is traditionally an occasion for former residents to come together.

Still, we want current Hopetoun and Beulah residents to join in and become part of the fellowship and friendship we wish to maintain.

For those who intend to arrive at Hopetoun or Beulah on Saturday, we invite you to an informal gathering and counter tea at the Community Hotel on Saturday evening at Austin St. Hopetoun.

This casual assembly was supposed to occur at the clubroom at the recreation reserve, but due to other commitments, physical resources are unavailable for catering and bar service.

In summary, because we are unable to supply catering, we have to leave the supply of food to the individual, and these are the outlets looking forward to meeting your needs :

Meals Box,74 Lascelles St Hopetoun, ph.0412605719

Country Lane Delights, 93A Lascelles St. Hopetoun. ph.0422741030

Community Hotel, Austin St. Hopetoun. ph. 0350833070

They all have excellent reviews, and it will be great if we can support local businesses.

We hope to have some venues open for visitors on Sunday morning. However it is difficult to determine the interest, and we don't want to place too much pressure on the locals for little result.

So, we hope to have the following establishments open between 10 am and 12 midday Sunday :

P12 Secondary College,

St. Joseph's Primary School,

The Power Station, now used as an Art workshop,

Corrong Homestead, Evelyn St., maintained by the Historical Society,

The Historical Society works on the Karkarooc Shire Records.

I will be at the clubrooms before10am with the full details of times for each venue's opening.

The formal reunion will be held on the Sunday at the Clubrooms and Recreation Reserve.

It will start at 12 noon, with lunch (byo), followed by the annual meeting and then more socialising until everyone disperses.

For those stopping overnight, the Community Hotel specialises in takeaway pizza on Sunday nights.

We realise there is only a limited time for people to reminisce and visit places of interest, but we hope it strengthens your desire to return to Hopetoun and Beulah and see more of what is on offer.

The annual meeting will decide where future reunions are going to held, so attendees can express their preferences.

If anyone wants to contact the Reunion Committee, these are their contact details:
