Horsham Golf hosted reigning premiers Nhill, with the Horsham side winning rinks one and two 26-12 and 28-18, respectively.

Nhill’s third rink of Raymond Olney, Barry Cramer, Ivan Reichelt and Allan King continued their opening-round form to win the rink 29-15 but it was not enough to overcome Horsham Golf, who finished 69-59 winners.

In the matchup between Horsham City and Sunnyside, nothing separated rink two (20-20) while Sunnyside managed to narrowly win rink three 23-20.

But a dominant 27-14 first-rink performance from Horsham City proved the difference, giving them a 67-57 overall victory.

Goroke-Edenhope claimed their first win of the season, defeating Coughlin Park at home 80-56.

With rink three ending in a 24-24 draw, Goroke-Edenhope took out rink one (23-17) and rink two (33-15).

The match between Dimboola and Kaniva took place on Sunday, when Dimboola’s rink one team, skippered by Daniel Danisch, dominated Kaniva 33-9 as they defeated Kaniva overall 76-51.

In division two, Horsham City notched their first victory of the season with a strong 33-12 rink-one performance, laying the foundation to defeat Dimboola 83-53.

At Sunnyside, Nhill edged out the hosts 70-68.

Nhill won rink one 27-16 while Sunnyside claimed rink two with the same score; a tight 27-25 third-rink win for the visitors proved the difference.

Horsham Golf won two out of three rinks to overcome Goroke-Edenhope 66-55.

Playing away, Coughlin Park demonstrated they are the team to beat with a 102-48 victory over Natimuk, elevating them to first place on the ladder.

In division three, a 23-21 rink-three victory by Nhill 4 proved the difference as they beat Horsham City 61-60 in a nailbiter.

Elsewhere, Nhill 3 defeated Coughlin Park 65-50, Horsham Golf won all three rinks to defeat Sunnyside 78-41 and Kaniva defeated Coughlin Park 54-47 in a Sunday matchup.
