Horsham Rotary East celebrate International Women's Day
Horsham Rotary East has celebrated its remarkable women with a special club meeting this week.

In the lead-up to International Women's Day on Saturday, March 8, the club showcased four outstanding women during a March 5 meeting, a decade-long tradition.
Pam Clark OAM has been a businesswoman for more than 40 years including a plumbing business, a large building company, a caravan dealership, a restaurant owner and a Milk Bar takeaway.
She is probably best known for her role as a Horsham Rural City Councillor for 14 years, including three terms as mayor.
During this time, she oversaw the planning of the Horsham Town Hall and Horsham Aquatic Centre.
She shared the challenges of being a public figure, but encouraged women to become involved.
Christine Duffy was Hindmarsh Shire's citizen in 2023, and the first female president of Horsham Rotary East.
During the pandemic, she displayed unwavering support of staff and was the go-to person for advice on infection management, prevention, vaccination, isolation, visitor management and a variety of other issues and challenges.
She coordinated the vaccination of the elderly and vulnerable.
Dianne Marchment has dedicated thousands of hours to the community, making significant contributions to many organisations, and has had a real influence on the vibrancy and sustainability of her community.
She is a motivator and a go-getter.
Margaret Millington OAM spent years advocating for 'Safescript" after the death of her son from an overdose of prescription medication following an accident.
They embraced the Karen community 15 years ago, a commitment that remains today.
International Women's Day is a global day to highlight the need for gender equality and progress the rights of women. The theme for 2025 is 'Marching Forward'.
