Ika wins back-to-back league medals
Horsham Demons Vanilla Ika has won the 2024 Western Victoria Female Football League best and fairest, securing back-to-back wins, polling 17 votes. Ebony Stiles from Tyrendarra was second on 12 votes, while Ika's teammate, Holly Nuske, was third.

In the under-18s, Horsham's Charmaine Lockwood came third overall. Cavendish's Leayla Pohl won on 16 votes ahead of Terang-Mortlake's Tayla Bell on 12 votes.
Horsham's Elle Treloar was awarded the league goal-kicking award, booting 27 goals in 11 games. Treloar's best performances were when she kicked seven goals against Warrnambool Blues in round six and six against Cavendish in round four.
On Friday night, the Horsham Demons also celebrated their best and fairest.
Crystal Summers won the senior best and fairest ahead of Holly Nuske. Shannon Cross was awarded the most consistent player and Dellie Brown was awarded the most determined player.
In the other awards, Lauren May was named most improved, Patria Lees was named best first-year player, and Catherine O'Dea and Madeleine Huggins received the coaches award.
Lara Purchase was awarded the best and fairest in the under-18s, with Charmaine Lockwood as the runner-up.
Poppy Peters, who debuted for the Greater Western Victoria Rebels on the weekend, was awarded the most consistent alongside Greta Arnel.
The most valuable player award went to Violet McGennisken, whilst Amaya Woodward was named most determined.
Maggie Fisher was awarded the best first-year player, and Teilah Couch won the coaches award.
