Inter-gen program connects all ages
On Tuesday, September 8, primary junior students had a very special visit from four residents from the hospital.
On Tuesday, September 8, primary junior students had a very special visit from four residents from the hospital.
The Grade 3-4 students shared their work and learning with the residents and then enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, which has been named the “Nola arvo tea.”
Students engaged in connection-building moments and enthusiastic chatting with residents for the Inter-gen program.
Rainbow P-12 College extends its appreciation to the Bristow family, who kindly donated $100 to the Inter-gen program in memory of Nola.
Nola loved every minute of the program and was a very enthusiastic participant in every activity, where she would chat away to the students.
Nola genuinely cared about what the students were doing.
The money was used to finance an afternoon tea for the residents when they visited the school.
The inter-gen program is a wonderful way for the youngest in the community to build connections with the older generation.
It is a program that delights everyone who is involved, and the College hopes to continue it for the foreseeable future.
