Jeparit rallies behind urgent weir replacement
GATHERING on Monday afternoon at their local library was a significant contingent of Jeparit townsfolk, community stakeholders and Hindmarsh Shire Council, with a unified goal to push for the replacement of the nearby Jeparit Weir.
Uniting to advocate for the Jeparit Weir to be replaced are local community members and stakeholders, concerned its functional condition was recently assessed as ‘very poor’ and may not survive another flood event such as 2011, 2016 and 2022.
