Kaniva Leeor United celebrates 30 Years of unity
This Saturday July 25 the Kaniva Leeor United Football Netball Club will celebrate a significant milestone, marking 30 years since the amalgamation that brought together two proud sporting clubs to form what is now KLUFNC.
The reunion promises to be a special occasion involving past and present players, officials, volunteers, members and supporters celebrating three decades of football, netball and community spirit at Kaniva Recreation Reserve.
The day will feature a full round of football and netball as Kaniva Leeor United hosts Laharum, before festivities continue into the evening with a pig- on-the- spit dinner, providing the perfect opportunity for old teammates and friends to reconnect and reminisce.
A major highlight of the celebrations will be the announcement of the club’s football and netball teams of the decade, recognising the outstanding players who have represented Kaniva Leeor United over the past 30 years.
The honour celebrates the talent, dedication and achievements of those who have made a lasting impact on the club.
Another feature of the evening will be a unique auction of match-worn jumpers from the club’s senior football team and dresses worn by the A grade netball side throughout the club’s history.
The auction will offer supporters the chance to own a piece of Kaniva Leeor United history while celebrating the players and teams who have proudly worn the Cougar colours.
The reunion is expected to attract former players and supporters from across the region, reflecting the strong connections built since the club’s formation in 1996.
From premiership successes to lifelong friendships, the day will recognise the people and moments that have shaped the club over the past three decades.
