Kindness pops up at St Joseph’s
St. Joseph's School was filled with kindness, gratitude, generosity and joy two weeks ago, as students celebrated Wellbeing Week with the theme 'Kindness is Popping Up Everywhere'.

Throughout the week, students were encouraged to perform random acts of kindness for their classmates, teachers, and families.
Each time a kind deed was completed, a piece of popcorn was added to a special container.
Day by day, the students watched the container fill up, a powerful and joyful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference when shared across the whole school community.
The growing popcorn bucket became a symbol of the generosity and care that was spreading throughout classrooms and playgrounds.
Smiles, thank-yous and helpful gestures "popped up" everywhere, showing that wellbeing is built not just on looking after ourselves, but on looking out for others.
A special part of the week was a visit from author Andrew Kelly, who shared his books, 'Cry Hard Chucky' and 'Laugh Hard Chucky’, with the students.
Mr Kelly's musical talents also engaged the students, who joined in singing during his visit.
Wellbeing Week was a wonderful celebration of the values that make St. Joseph's such a special place – kindness, gratitude, generosity and joy.
And just like the overflowing popcorn, the hope is that these acts of kindness will continue to appear well beyond this week.
